Hey! Our product uses conventions throughout our commercial. Using product placement, our group adhered to convention. This is commonly found in widespread fast-food restaurants. Unusual bits from my group did appear in the advertisement. However, our background music and sound effects are not the same kinds found in modern advertisements for fast food. In our commercial, it displays a woman of color is a single mother to two kids. She struggles to get her kids up and ready for the day, but Dunkin donuts essentially makes everything better. This represents was social groups and challenges currently take place. we are surrounded by these kinds of situations all around us, addressing the social environment of our society.   Audiences tend to be fully engaged by the product. This is because the Dunking donuts was the promoted product. This appealed to consumers by depicting a family getting ready for school and having breakfast in a day-to-day genuine manner.    Hello, welcome back! As we know me, and my group filmed our commercial. In the last blog we talked about what edits we were going to add to our film. This includes transitions, background noise, editing, and timing. Our plan was to use an app called Vimeo to succeed our editing changes. However, we found it wasn't convenient nor did it fit out needs. We used an app called "CapCut" to finish editing. Me and my group found that after adding audio and transitions it added more time to the film. Approximately eight seconds more than we needed. We found that CapCut was cheaper, easier to manage, and fit our film better.  After editing we had to cut down some clips in order to fit the thirty second mark. We did find that not every clip to clip could have a transition. So, I only added a transition to the transformation clip. Marlo also added some background bird noises to the first clip to give the full morning effect. We cut down on "power point" transitions to gi

Hello, welcome back again! As we know, me and my group filmed our commercial already on October 5th. However, our group does need to make a variety of changes and editing to our film. The app my group will use to apply these changes is Vimeo. An example of editing would be adding transitions. In the first scene we can add a dramatic transition to the second scene to enhance the loud alarm clock noise. Then transitioning into the third scene, we can add a light transition, possibly and fade in, to show us peacefully falling back asleep. I can then add a dramatic transition to the incoming fourth scene to show the emotion in Marlo's tone. Transitioning into the fifth scene, I can add a quick transition to show the rush of the scene. Next, the transition to the next scene will also be quick with a matching background noise to show us rushing to get ready. After this, the seventh scene shows us walking to get breakfast. I can add a soothing transition to show the calm tone when we s

Hello, On October 5th me and my group filmed our commercial. My role was one of the actors in the film, as well as Natalia Sorbo. We started off the first scene with a video of me and Natalia sleeping in a bed. Harley was the director in the short film. She did not act in it, but she did film every shot. She gave us direction and instructions. Marlo played the mom in the film, and me and Natalia played the daughters. The Next Shot was an alarm going off and I picked up the phone. I then continued to shut the alarm off and the next clip shows us going back to sleep. Harley then filmed an over the shoulder shot of Marlo walking in the room and waking us up. This is where you see us shoot out the bed. The next clip shows us running to the bathroom, followed by another clip of us brushing our teeth. We then walk over to the living room which shows us throwing away a Starbucks bag. Me and Natalia both pick up a donut and coffee. As we taste the Dunkin donuts, we are transformed, looking

Hey, welcome back! The filming will take place Wednesday, October 5th. We are planning on shooting in the afternoon at Harley’s house. We’re just going to be staying at Harley’s house. We are going to be shooting in a bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and the driveway. We will be using donuts from Dunkin’ Donuts and possibly coffee from there as well.  We are going to have a competing brand being Starbucks. In the commercial, we will show that Dunkin’ is the superior Donut and coffee brand. The costumes are going to be pajamas, and normal everyday clothing. If we do not all have the props we need, we can go to several stores near the shooting location to get props that seem like they would further influence the commercial. Stores near the shooting location. Our plan is to try to film within 1 or 2 hours. The backup plan is that if Harley’s house is not available, filming will take place at Natalia’s house. The same shooting procedure will be conducted, it will just be taking place at a diff
